According to a policy announcement by Provost Perreault on Oct 28, 2016 all international travel with students must be must be coordinated through the Global Engagement unit. It is crucial that our efforts be organized to ensure that the institution is indemnified and that our risk-mitigation plan is respected.
Faculty traveling as an agent of the institution, are automatically covered under our general liability; educators legal liability and kidnap and ransom policies (details). If during your travels you are involved in incident (motor vehicle accident, kidnapping, death or bodily injury, medical emergency, political unrest necessitating repatriation or other), please contact me and/or my staff immediately by email or by telephone at 716-878-5331.
