CGE is home to the Intensive English Language Institute as well as the Offices of International Student and Scholar Services and Study Away and International Education and is proud to support the campus' International Initiatives.
Leading the charge for campus internationalization, we believe that immersive cultural experiences, both locally and globally, impact students’ ability to respectfully engage with and learn from difference, meet the challenges of a globally connected society, and be good citizens and stewards of the world. The mission of the SUNY Buffalo State CGE is to provide leadership for the comprehensive internationalization of the SUNY Buffalo State community by fostering the growth and development of our international programs and services. The pandemic and the response to systemic racial injustice requires that global pedagogy enter a new era of cultural humility and social responsibility. At Buffalo State we are on the forefront of applying a social justice perspective to support and cultivate global citizenship.
