Fulbright Scholar Program

Buffalo State’s Sponsored International Programs office supports students, faculty, and staff in seeking funding, applying to, and participating in international research opportunities, mainly the Fulbright and the Rhodes Scholar programs. To date, 17 Buffalo State faculty from a wide range of disciplines have been selected to participate in the Fulbright Program. The ultimate promise of the Fulbright Program is to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and people around the world. Buffalo State proudly plays a part in this process.

Rhodes Scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarships are the oldest and most celebrated international fellowship awards in the world, with the program annually selecting 32 young students from the United States. These Rhodes Scholars are chosen for their outstanding scholarly achievements, as well as for their character, commitment to others and to the common good, and for their potential for leadership in whatever domains their careers may lead.
